Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires at least four years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. This training focuses on the bone, skin and muscle of the face, mouth and jaw. Oral and maxillofacial surgeons have knowledge and expertise that uniquely qualifies them to diagnose and treat a number of functional and esthetic conditions of the face and jaw.

The oral and maxillofacial surgeons at Capital Oral & Facial Surgery manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Our surgeons practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. They also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures.
